This BIOS Update Utility updates the BIOS (system program) and the Embedded Controller(EC) program stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad X60, X60s
The following operating systems are supported:
- Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit
- Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit (*1)
- Microsoft Windows XP (Home Edition and Professional)
- Microsoft Windows 2000
(Fix) The process of Fingerprint authentication at power-on was improved. (BIOS)
(Fix) Memory address more than 4GB can't be accessed under Vista WindowsPE. (BIOS)
(Fix) Intermittent errors, such as device unrecognized, may occur at wake-up after BIOS configuration was changed in BIOS Setup during hibenation. (BIOS)
(Fix) A Post error may intermittently occur at wake-up from hibernation after ThinkPad BIOS Setting for Windows was run. (BIOS)
(Fix) This BIOS contains a workaround of resolution change issue. When using an Intel Graphics model on a minidock with an external monitor set to SXGA, the resolution will intermittently be changed in certain docking/undocking situations switch to XGA. (BIOS)
